Description

Belfast Local Strategy Partnership (BLSP) is an organisation responsible for accessing and distributing EU funding in Belfast. The BLSP Board is comprised of 28 members including representatives of Belfast City Council, Government Departments and Social Partners.

BLSP has been allocated a budget of £25m to invest in projects promoting peace-building, economic development and training through three measures of Peace II (EU funding for Northern Ireland).

BLSP has distributed £50m of EU funding during Peace I and II. During this time the Board has built up a wealth of experience. At the end of Peace I 100% commitment of funds awarded (£25m approximately) had been achieved and 99.8% spent and vouched. The organisation is on target to achieve similar success under the current round of funding.

BLSP has an excellent knowledge of accessing and distributing EU funding and is interested in working with partner organisations in Poland and Estonia, to help them to achieve similar success through knowledge transfer.
